Located in The Stourvale Centre on Stourvale Road, Pokesdown & Southbourne Children’s Centre has a packed weekly programme of activities as well as providing family support in the community.
Regular sessions and groups include:
- Come Talk with Me, a Language Support Group
- Ready Steady Go! To help you support your child to become ‘life ready’.
- Family Support Service
- Under One’s Group
- Play and Learn sessions
- Well Baby Health Clinic
- Breastfeeding Support Group

Experienced staff are on hand to deal with queries. We can provide information, help and advice for parents and carers with regards to a range of subjects including:

The Stourvale Centre
The building containing Pokesdown and Southbourne Children’s Centre is called the Stourvale Centre. It also houses Pokesdown Youth Club and serves as a contact location for YMCA Bournemouth’s Child Contact Centre.
Facilities for Hire
A large main hall, a professional kitchen and leisure rooms at The Stourvale Centre are available for commercial events, parties, dances, drama and classes.
