Fifty Niners Corporate – Social Impact Club

YMCA Bournemouth’s Areas of Impact:

• Accommodation: Currently providing housing for 114 individuals.
• Youth Work: Offering safe, impactful programs for young people.
• Family Support: Providing education and assistance for local families.
• Health & Wellbeing: Operating two fitness centres and offering holiday clubs.
• Training & Education: Affordable, accessible training for all.
• Support & Advice: Ongoing guidance for the local community.

Social Impact (April 2024 – March 2025):

• Provided safe homes to 172 individuals at risk of homelessness.
• Delivered nearly 2,000 counselling sessions.
• Supported over 50+ young disabled individuals with 513 hours of direct support.
• Provided 1,607 hours of family contact time.
• Assisted 79 families with dedicated family support workers.
• Enabled over 1,250 local children to learn swimming.
• Engaged over 6,500 individuals with their sports facilities.

These initiatives are life-changing for many, and through the “Fifty Niners Corporate – Social Impact Club,” businesses can fund these efforts while also fulfilling their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals.

As a result of our work, we have:

• Provided safe stable accommodation, sustenance, help and guidance to people who were homeless.

• Given disabled young people the opportunity to fulfil their potential whilst improving their well-being, self-esteem and independence.

• Delivered consistent Youth Work on the Townsend Estate (Bournemouth), supporting disadvantaged young people with activities covering cooking education, arts/crafts, boxing, football and sports, plus opportunities for engagement in quality learning life-skills.

To continue our Youth Work, and other key projects, we need to find £200,000 a year.
