The weekly session gives children the opportunity to engage in play activities and develop positive friendships with their peers.
Wednesday evenings from 4.00pm – 5.00pm
for children in school years 1 to 3
- Wednesday evenings from 6.00pm – 8.00pm
for children in school years 4 to 7
There is no charge for sessions, joining is simple and just requires a parent or legal carer to complete a membership form.
Activities on offer include:
- Arts and Crafts
- Sports Including football Coaching from AFC Bournemouth Community Sport Trust
- Board Games, Consoles and Pool
- A social space to meet friends and make new ones
- Support in moving up to youth club sessions during school year 7
Townsend Youth Club
Townsend Youth Centre is also the venue for Townsend Youth Club, which offers twice-weekly open-access sessions for young people aged 13-19 years old on Monday and Thursday evenings. Click here for full details.
Facilities for Hire
The building is available for hire. Ideal for meetings, parties, social events and more, the venue offers a bright open-plan area with sofas, a pool table and kitchen facilities included. There’s also a room available for small fitness/boxing classes.

The Chatterbox Project
Townsend Youth Centre is also one of the venues for The Chatterboxes, our youth action project run by young people with disabilities aged 11-25 years old from Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset. The Townsend session is for young people aged 11-18 years old and takes place on Tuesday evenings from 6-8pm.
